Introduction

The Departments of Large Animal Clinical Sciences (LACS) and Small Animal Clinical Sciences (SACS) offer a program of graduate study in Veterinary Medical Sciences (VMS) leading to the degrees of Master of Science (M.S.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.). This is an umbrella-type program which encompasses all related disciplines in the area of veterinary medical sciences. The choice of specific areas of concentration by graduate students is influenced by the educational and career goals of the applicant, available positions and graduate faculty.
